Stephanie Johnson is a graduate of The Art and Design Foundation program at George Brown College, in Toronto. She is the owner LOLA, which stands for Lots Of Lovely Art, where she makes and offers custom digital art pieces. Her passion is drawing portraits because it allows her to express herself and capture people in their best moments. She also truly enjoys meeting new people and their pets.

Stephanie’s interest in art started at a young age and she then attended an art program in CEGEP (general and vocational college) at Centennial College in Montreal, Quebec. Before she decided to study at George Brown College, she began to improve her skill set through an OCAD continuing education course. This was an excellent program that allowed her to use multiple types of media to capture portraits through sculpture and sketching using charcoal, various shades of graphite pencils and black and white coloured pencils. She also learned how to sketch headshots of live models using different lighting techniques, shading,  and profiles.

At George Brown College, she absolutely loved the drawing class because she developed her creativity by exploring the use of different mediums and using different types of paper. She practiced multiple types of drawing techniques such as portrait, one point perspective, and landscapes. In photography class, she gained an understanding of settings and lighting with a digital camera. She was then able to advance her creative eye and explore capturing people, pets and landscapes in artistic ways.
